ボーイスカウト豊見城第１団

豊見城１団ビーバー・カブ隊は、３月２４日（日）１０：００～１１：３０、豊見城消防署見学をしました。
Pack Tomigusuku 1 visited the Tomigusuku Fire Station on March 24 (Sun) from 10:00 to 11:30.

これは２０１１年３月１１日に起きた東日本大震災と、２０２４年１月１日に起きた令和６年能登半島地震の記憶が新しいうちに、２０２４年３月度の活動テーマを、防災にしたためです。
This is because while the memories of the Great East Japan Earthquake that occurred on March 11, 2011, and the Noto Peninsula Earthquake of 2024 that occurred on January 1, 2024 were still fresh, we decided to make disaster prevention the theme of our activities.


救急車両では、乗せてられているAEDや心臓マッサージ機、窒息した時に使うマギール鉗子、咽頭鏡の器具を見せてもらいました。
In the ambulance, we were shown the AED, heart massage machine, Magill forceps used in case of suffocation, and laryngoscope equipment.

レスキュー車両（工作車）では、チェーンソーやカッターなどの器具をいつどんな時に使うかを聞く事が出来ました。
In the rescue vehicle (work vehicle), we were able to hear about when and how to use tools such as chainsaws and cutters.
酸素ボンベを背負って歩く消防隊員は約２０ｋｇの装備を担いでの作業だそうです。
Firefighters carrying oxygen tanks on their backs are said to be carrying about 20 kg of equipment.
また酸素残量の確認を現場外の仲間からチェックする様に促ししたり、隊員が倒れた時にアラーム音で知らせるシステムがあり、隊員の安全が守られていることを知りました。
In addition, we larned that comrades outside the fire field urge team members on the fire field to check the fire field urge team members on the fire field to check the remaining oxygen level, and install alarm devices that sound an alarm when a team member collapses, thereby ensuring the safety of the team members.
火事の現場は、視界が悪く前方の確認が出来ない為毎回隊員も緊張感の高い中での仕事という事が分かりました。
At the scene of a fire, visibility is poor and it is impossible to see what's ahead, so I found that the crew members always work under a high degree of tension.


消防車では、１５００リットルの水を積んで現場へ行くがそれを５分で使い切ってしまうとの事でした。
The fire engine carries 1,500 liters of water to the scene, but it is said that it will be used up in five minutes.
消防隊員の仕事はそれ以外にも洗車も大事な仕事ということでした。
Washing cars is also an important part of the firefighter's job.


１５年前には、年間２０００件程度の救急車出動要請が、現在では３６００件程度に上がっているそうです。それは、①救急車要請の敷居が下がっている事、②長寿化からくる高齢者増加などが背景にあるそうです。以上の事が多く学べた良い機会となりました。
15 years ago, there were about 2,000 requests for ambulance dispatch per year, but now the number has risen to about 3,600. This is said to be due to (1) the lowering of the threshold for requesting an ambulance, and (2) an increase in the number of elderly people due to longer lifespans.It was a great opportunity to learn a lot of things.

機械、器具について子供達から多くの質問が出ておりました。今回は、放水体験は出来ませんでしたが次回に繋げたらと思います。
The scouts had many questions about machines and equipment. We weren't able to experience water spraying this time, but I hope to do it next time.
